With kind permission from the Provincial Grand Master of Derbyshire the Province of Cheshire were able to take part in a special 50th Anniversary celebration of a member who enjoys Lodges in both Provinces.

WBro Jack Raine who now lives in Chester and moved some 6 years ago from Derbyshire to be with his family enjoyed a full evening of celebration in the cotton Town of New Mills. Mellor Lodge meet in a purpose built Masonic Hall constructed in 1894/5 in the heart of New Mills. In its early days it was largely used by mill workers but now retains its former splendour and is extensively used by many Masonic Orders.

Jack’s presentation and review was sensitively made by WBro Ian Copestake APGM of Derbyshire who later presented him with a certificate from the Province of Derbyshire. George Mann APGM of Cheshire was also invited to present a certificate to Jack from the Provincial Grand Master for Cheshire.
A wonderful nostalgic evening where Cheshire friends and members of Francis Columbine 5849 and Eaton Lodge 533 supported Jack throughout.
