On the evening of the 6th of June 2019, a dinner was held at Derby Masonic Hall to commemorate the 75th anniversary of D Day.
A total of 37 members and their guests sat down to dinner. A number of brethren who were still serving attended in mess kit and those who had served who could no longer get into their mess kit wore miniature medals with evening dress.
The evening started with a brief overview of the lead up to landing and then after each course various members read an eyewitness account of the events of the day.
The event raised £408.70 for the Provincial Charity.
