On Tuesday 29 March Fairfield Chapter finally celebrated the granting of its Centenary Charter marking one hundred years (and a bit) since its consecration on 27 May 1920. The meeting had been delayed due to the Covid pandemic, but all disappointments due to the wait were put aside and a splendid evening ensued. The Grand Superintendent and Provincial Principals took the chairs for a short time to address the companions and distribute the Centenary Jewels. The Chapter Scribe E, Malcolm Richards, read the minutes of the Consecration Meeting and delivered a short talk on the History of the Chapter. The meeting was followed by an excellent supper where every attendee was presented with a booklet on the Chapter’s first hundred years.
Many thanks to the Chapter officers for arranging this very successful evening. Here’s to the next Hundred.
