The Porchway Club is a great new initiative for new and young Masons in Derbyshire to learn and discover what it means to be a Mason, and to meet up with other new Masons throughout the Province. As newly made Masons having experienced the First Degree Ceremony, we are often left wondering just what the ceremony means. The best way is always to go and see a First Degree as soon as the opportunity arises and the Porchway Club is there to help organise visits and let you know as and when and where initiations are taking place.

Pictured is one of our newest initiates Bro David May receiving the Porchway Club introductory letter from the Provincial Grand Master at the meeting of United Services Lodge in Derby on Friday 2nd November.

The club will be organising all sorts of social events so you can involve your friends and family and show them just what a wonderful organisation you have become part of. The Porchway website will have details of all events and is already up and running, for information on this please click here

The first initiative has already started in the form of Movember! They’re looking for more members to “grow a Mo’ for men’s health charities. Click here for details. Membership is free and is open to all Masons under the age of 45, or any Mason who has not yet reached the Chair. A link for a letter with all the information needed is at the bottom of this page.
