The travelling gavel has now moved to Derby. At the recent meeting of Beaureper Lodge at Belper Masonic Hall it was claimed by Burlington Lodge under the rules laid down.

The gavel can be claimed by any Derbyshire Lodge who take the most visitors to the holder’s Lodge meeting. Burlington Lodge meet at Derby and look forward to handing on the gavel to the next Lodge who claim it successfully. Burlington’s next meeting will be in January but since that meeting will be installation the gavel cannot be claimed.
The next eligible meeting will be on the 25th February and it is hoped that many Lodges take as many visitors as possible.
