The first meeting of the Lodge took place on the 10th March 1858, 164 years ago, and was the second lodge formed in Derby. It grew steadily, being only the second in Derby it attracted as its initiates all aspects of the social, commercial, industrial and civic society and this it has done to the present day.
What we do
There are two parts to our evening, both of which we consider important for the enjoyment of our freemasonry. The Lodge currently commences at 18:30 in the evening with the first part of the evening occurring in the Temple. As with all lodges we open, conduct a ceremony, or other appropriate work, conduct the administrative business of the lodge and close. We then proceed to the festive board, via the bar, and enjoy a good meal and socialise in convivial company.
