Dorothy Vernon Lodge was formed in 1887, making it one of the oldest lodges in Derbyshire. The cornerstone was laid with full masonic honours on 21 August 1889. The
Lodge continues to meet in the Town Hall to this day and is steeped in tradition but still vibrant and fresh.
What we do
The lodge usually meet once a month to conduct regular business and once a month to rehearse. It regularly initiates new Masons into the Fraternity and shares in a variety of programs both masonic and educational.
Why join us?
Whether you join to help or just to get involved, being part of the lodge allows you to make a difference. Making connections with likeminded people and broadening your knowledge through combined learning and appreciation will help you become a more well-rounded individual — and if you so wish, one that’s ready to be Master of the Lodge and take the Master’s Chair!
